I tend to link all my posts to my/our Facebook account. I have friends on FB who read my posts on FB and, I think, have never been to my actual blog. I appreciate them reading and commenting on FB, but I must ask them to take it one more step.
Please use my blog link on FB to go to my actual blog. This helps with my stats, which in turn helps attract more readers and someday, like my two serious OW swimmer friends, Evan and Rob, I hope that translates into swim companies sending me free swag.
So, dear FB friends, I ask that you come see my blog. I've got a few pictures and, more important, links to other great swimming blogs. Also, and this will help me with my obsession, if you click on that link you see in the upper left, it'll take you to SwimOutlet, where I get the vast majority of my swimming stuff. And if you buy something from them (after clicking on my link), you will have my heartiest thanks. And someday I'll get a gift card from them.

Are you sure that your FB hits don't show up in your blog stats? When I share a link on Facebook, it only displays a short teaser. If anyone clicks on the link, it takes them to my actual website.
I just tested this from my husband's FB account. (Being married makes a lot of this techie stuff easier!) When I click on the link to my blog post that appears in his news feed, my view count goes up by 1.

Holy crap, you might be right. I wonder why my FB friends don't comment here in typepad, instead of on my FB acct.
