Asute readers, all two or three of you, will have noticed I put a picture of the late Fran Crippen up on the upper left. I heard about Fran's death after my Cyprus 5K and I can't understand why it has hit me so hard. Perhaps because I had just watched his awesome DVD. Perhaps because every time I read about him, he was doing something nice and sportsman-like. Maybe it is just because I am selfish and I really wanted to see him bring home gold from London in 2012.
I'll leave all the investigating to the medical professionals. For now, I'll simply say
REQUIEM aeternam dona ei,
Domine,
et lux perpetua luceat ei.
Requiescat in pace.
