I Know How Ham Hocks Feel

The smoke here in Moscow from burning forests and peat bogs has gotten worse over the last several days. Soon the earth will split open and swallow the city, leaving behind only a lava and smoke belching ravine as a warning to never rebuild.

The Ukraina Hotel.  Not a good day for a stroll along the Moscow River.  We were dumb enough to take the dog on a walk, however.

Wow, that has gotten worse. I hope Hx and I can fly in to Moscow next week...

It's even worse today. I'll really worry when I see the flames licking the tall buildings surrounding us.
